Thanksgiving Makeup!

I don't think words could accurately describe just how excited I am for Thanksgiving! At our house, we got allllll out. Massive amounts of delicious food, a home filled with family, and football on tv all day long. What's not to love? I was playing around with my makeup today and came up with a really fun look for Thanksgiving day. I will totally be rocking this makeup tomorrow! I played up the eyes with some really fun oranges and browns that compliment the holiday perfectly. Hopefully this will give you some inspiration for a makeup look you can create for Thanksgiving!

1. Foundation + Concealer

My Marc Jacobs Genius Gel foundation and Hourglass Veil Mineral primer should come as no surprise to you if you keep up with my blog. They're definitely two of my most favorite products of the moment. To conceal dark spots and breakouts, I used the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Dark Spot Eraser. For a flawless under eye coverage and for brightening, I used the NARS Radient Creamy Concealer. I also placed this concealer on the center of my chin, down the center of the nose, and on the center of the forehead to brighten those areas as well.

2. Set foundation + Brows

To set all the liquid products, I misted my face with the Urban Decay All-Nighter setting spray. To set and brighten my under eye concealer even more, I used my new Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in "Diffussed Light". I see why everyone has been raving about these powders! I'm loving this one for setting my concealer! Next, I filled in my brows with the Anastasia Perfect Brow Pencil in "Soft Brown".

3. Shadow

I recently picked up this Wet n' Wild Fergie "Desert Festival" palette and thought it looked PERFECT for a Thanksgiving look. I started the look by packing that light tan shimmery shade all over the lid. Now, with a big fluffy crease brush I applied the brighter orange matte shade all through the crease up to the brow bone. I wasn't super careful and precise with this I just really buffed it out all through the crease. With a smaller crease brush (i used MAC 217), I applied MAC soft brown right in the crease. I placed this more precisely into the crease to deepen the look and was careful because I did not want to muddy the bright orange too much. I placed the lighter orange shadow on the outer 1/3 of the lid. I darkened up the outer corner with the dark matte brown shade. This palette did not have a good highlight shade so I just took "Venus" from the Naked Basics palette to highlight the inner corner and brow bone, but you can use any highlight shade you have!

4. Liner + Mascara

To finish off the eyes, I winged out my liner with the Maybelline Gel Liner in "Blackest Black". I applied two coats of the Covergirl LashBlast Volume, also in black. I am absolutely loving this mascara at the moment!
Close-up shots! The camera did not pick up how vibrant that orange is, so just keep that in mind!

5. Blush + Bronzer

To finish of the face, I contoured using NARS Laguna. For the cheeks, I went with this super pretty peach blush by Milani called "Luminoso".

6. Lips!
Since my eyes were more on the dramatic side, I wanted to keep the lips simple. I chose this Revlon Lip Butter in "Juicy Papaya". This added a coral flush to my lips and completed the look perfectly!

And done! I hope you love this look just as much as do. I think it is pretty perfect for Thanksgiving. Have an amazing Thanksgiving, if you celebrate it of course, and I will be back in a few days for a new post!

Fall FOTD featuring MAC Cranberry!

AHHH. I haven't posted in about a month *cries tears of sadness*. I am sorry for my absence! I got swamped with school work a few weeks ago and then, my macbook called it quits, so I had to get a new macbook. So, I'm just now finding the time to sit down and put together this post. That being said, I've been DYING to get this post up! A few weeks ago, I popped by my MAC counter and picked up a shadow that had been on my beauty wishlist for a while. That shadow was MAC Cranberry, which is a frost, and it's a gorgeous vibrant in-your-face cranberry shade. I've been messing around with it and wanted to share this look with all of you. Hope you enjoy!

1. Primer + Foundation

If you been reading my blog for a while, you have seen this primer so many times before. I applied a pea-size amount of this Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer all over my face. I am convinced that it is the BEST primer out there. It the perfect smoothing, pore-perfecting base for foundation. I then applied one pump of the Marc Jacobs Genius Gel foundation all over my face, blending it in with a beauty blender.

2. Concealer + Setting Spray + Powder

Next, I covered up my dark circles with the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Dark Circle Eraser. This is a great drugstore concealer for under eye coverage! I covered up any dark spots and breakouts with the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Dark Spot Corrector. To set all those liquid products, I spritzed the Urban Decay All-Nighter Setting Spray all over my face. I set my under eye concealer and highlighted that area with the Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder

3. Blush + Bronzer + Brows

I contoured my face with my favorite NARS Laguna Bronzer. I dusted the Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed on the apples of my cheeks for a nice natural flush.

I have pretty naturally thick brows but I still like to fill them in lightly with this Anastasia Beverly Hills Perfect Brow Pencil in Soft Brown.

Excuse my chapped lips! My blush isn't really picked up well in this photo, but I still wanted to throw it to show how the bronzer contoured and thinned out my face!

4. Eye Shadow!

Okay, I decided to really play around with the eyes and go quite dramatic with the look. I started by applying MAC Cranberry all over the lid. To get the most color pigmentation, I applied that with my finger. Through the crease, I applied both "Naked 2" from the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette and MAC Soft Brown through the crease with a fluffy crease brush. Next, I took "Crave" from the Naked Basics and really defined the outer corner of my eyes. I blended everything out really nice with a clean tapered blending brush. To finish the eye shadow off, I took "Foxy" on the brow bone, "Venus" on the inner corner, and "Faint" along the lower lash line.

5. Liner + Mascara

I took my favorite gel liner, the Maybelline Eyestudio Gel Liner in Blackest Black, and created a winged liner look. Then, I finished the entire eye look by applying two coats of CoverGirl Lash Blast Volume mascara.

6. Lips

For lips, I combined MAC Twig with my Christian Dior Creme de Rose lip balm for a sheerer application. I thought this complimented the eyes perfectly!

Done! I think this makeup look is really fun and perfect for Fall! Again, I apologize for the lack of posts but I will be posting regularly from now on! Thanks for reading, and I hope you have an amazing day!
